E-Learning content creator

We are expending our team and are searching for an E-Learning content creator

Role Description

The chosen candidate will contribute towards building e-learning modules on MaritimeMT’s digital learning platform. Together with the rest of the team, they will be involved in crafting inclusive and captivating learning resources, aimed at enriching the journey of maritime students.

Key responsibilities:

  • Report to and collaborate with the Course Content Manager to refine the syllabus and structure of e-learning courses.
  • Engage in content design and strategising throughout the development process of an e-learning course.
  • Create immersive multimedia and interactive learning experiences, including basic video content, audio and 2D/3D artwork.
  • Enhance and design photos to meet project requirements.
  • Craft storyboards, scripts, and interactive simulations to convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Produce short video lessons in collaboration with MaritimeMT’s lecturers, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop, edit, review, and test e-learning course materials to ensure high-quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Holds an ECDL qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities and able to collaborate within a team and work autonomously.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative and innovative approach to content design.
  • Experience in the maritime industry, ECDL Advanced, Proficiency in Moodle, Canva, Photoshop and Articulate 360 will be considered an asset.

Training will be provided by MaritimeMT in order for the person to be able to perform the tasks identified.


Lecturer

We are seeking a Master Mariner to join our Academics team at MaritimeMT.

Job description

  • Contributing towards the planning, development, verification and validation of courses as necessary.
  • Participate in reviews of the courses as necessary.
  • Participate in the reviews of the learning material as necessary.
  • Participate in the course analysis as necessary.
  • Deliver the course in a format that is compliant with the requirements of this Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure proper use of training equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement courses on the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist the Principal with any technical related matters including QMS related activities.
  • Act as assessor and internal verifier if necessary.
  • Provide technical support to prospective customers.
  • Planning, managing and controlling the development of training programmes.
  • Conducting research to keep up to date with changes happening within the maritime industry including changes happening to regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Must hold an OIC Unlimited CoC as per STCW Reg II/1, but holding a Master Mariner CoC as per STCW Reg II/2 will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation and organisation skills.
