People describe Malta as a vibrant, inclusive community where diversity is embraced. As a bilingual country, with both English and Maltese as official languages, Malta offers international students a unique cultural experience in a setting that feels both familiar and new. You'll find a welcoming atmosphere, rich traditions, and a global outlook that makes it easy to connect, learn, and thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.
Studying in Malta is an opportunity to learn and grow surrounded by natural beauty. The Maltese archipelago, made up of Malta, Gozo, and Comino, offers a peaceful and inspiring environment that perfectly complements academic life. Whether you're reviewing notes by the sea, taking a study break on a countryside walk, or exploring the outdoors with new friends, the islands provide the ideal balance between focus and relaxation.
When the books are closed and lectures are done, Malta comes alive with endless possibilities for fun and relaxation. Exploring historic cities, lounging on golden beaches, enjoying vibrant festivals, or trying out water sports, there’s always something exciting to do. The island’s lively social scene, cultural events, and stunning outdoor spots offer the perfect way to connect with new friends, and make the most of your time as a student.
Students wishing to study in Malta may require a visa depending on their nationality and the duration of the course. Non-EU nationals taking courses of less than 90 days may need a Schengen Type C visa. For longer courses exceeding 90 days, all non-EU students must apply for a National Long-Stay (Type D) Student Visa prior to arrival. Requirements typically include proof of enrollment, accommodation, sufficient funds, insurance, and a clean police record. However, we are open to help you throughout the whole process.
Malta’s Mediterranean climate is one of its greatest perks, here we have mild winters, long sunny days, and over 300 days of sunshine a year make it an ideal place to live and study. The pleasant weather means more time outdoors, whether you're walking to class, revising in a café by the sea, or exploring the islands with friends on the weekend. Studying in Malta gives you the opportunity to enjoying a lifestyle that balances academic focus with fresh air, natural beauty, and year-round sunshine.
In 2024, we proudly issued 43% of our certificates to foreign nationals and 57% to Maltese students, which is a clear reflection of our growing international reach. Every nationality brings with it unique traditions, perspectives, and experiences, and we believe that the more cultures we learn from, the richer and more vibrant our community becomes. At our core, we cherish diversity and take pride in being a place where students from all walks of life feel welcome, valued, and inspired to succeed.
