Department: Survey & Certification

Our Survey & Certification department is seeking a dedicated Technical Coordinator to become the central hub for our survey and certification operations.

In this key role, you will be the vital link between our clients, on-site surveyors, and Flag Authorities. You will ensure the seamless execution of projects, from initial request to final certification, making you an essential part of our team’s success. While primarily office-based, this position offers the exciting opportunity for technically capable individuals to occasionally support and witness surveys on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the fleet in service.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely and expert communication.
  • Liaise directly with Flag and Port Administrations and other maritime authorities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in our internal systems and databases.
  • Prepare, review, and process technical documentation and survey reports.
  • Proactively follow up on survey statuses and ensure strict adherence to deadlines.

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate is highly organised, an exceptional communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Essential Requirements:

An STCW II/1 or III/1 Certificate of Competency. Plus, a minimum of 3 years of seagoing experience

or

A Degree in Maritime Studies. Plus, 5 years of shore-based experience within ship management, a classification society, or maritime administration.

Desired Traits:

  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong IT proficiency and the ability to manage complex data.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage.
  • ISM knowledge and relative qualifications.
