MaritimeMT is a leading maritime training institution offering STCW short courses, career paths for the merchant navy and superyachts, recreational courses, as well as specialized training programmes such as general ship handling and azipod podded propulsion training.

Our headquarters are based in the Mediterranean island of Malta, an EU member state known for its strategic position in the maritime industry. Our training facilities are equipped with classrooms, simulators and practical learning environments.

We also have branches in Italy and Greece: Genoa (Gente di Mare), Livorno (Gente di Mare) and Athens (City Unity College).

Most of our training courses are held at our training centre in Malta, whilst theoretical courses such as PSCRB Refresher and Ship Security courses are sometimes offered online live through Microsoft Teams. We have recently launched our online learning management platform, and we hope to offer online training courses soon.

All our courses comply with standards such as STCW and Transport Malta regulations, ensuring local and global recognition, and industry acceptance.

Entry requirements vary by course. For STCW certification, you must meet the minimum age and medical fitness standards. Please check specific course details for requirements.

Yes, we provide guidance for international students including assistance with visa applications.

While we cannot guarantee employment, our training equips you with the skills and certifications required by the maritime industry. We also work closely with industry stakeholders to connect students with job opportunities.

Yes, our team offers career guidance to help you plan your maritime career path and select courses that match your goals.

We have cutting-edge training facilities, including full mission bridge simulators, ECDIS simulators, GMDSS simulators, practical training facilities for safety and rescue boat training, seamanship workshops, engineering workshops, and davit-launched fully enclosed lifeboat and life raft.

Whilst we do not have accommodation facilities on-site, we can assist international students in finding suitable accommodation near our training centre.

Course fees vary depending on the program. Detailed pricing is available on each course page. You can also contact us for personalized quotations.

We accept payments by cash, cheque, bank transfer and online payment systems. Flexible payment plans may be available for certain courses.

No, MaritimeMT does not issue Certificates of Competence or Certificate of Proficiency. Instead, we provide internationally recognized training courses and programs required for obtaining the COC or COP from Transport Malta.
