About the Role
International Fenders Provider (IFP) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving the company’s HSEQ standards across all operational sites and Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards across all company sites and STS operations.
  • Maintain and oversee certifications of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and support the company’s future certification to ISO 45001.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment at sites and workshops is regularly inspected, maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with the Marine/Technical Manager and Operations Manager to conduct internal ISO audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections at shore-based facilities.
  • Organize and lead monthly safety meetings with field personnel to promote awareness, review incidents, and reinforce best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all operational activities across sites, workshops, and workplaces.
  • Maintain and update the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure all equipment certifications remain current.
  • Review, update, and develop HSQE procedures in line with industry standards and best practices, in collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The ideal candidate should ideally have at least 3 years’ experience in a marine oriented industry preferably also with experience in HSEQ and should further possess the following credentials:
  • Preferably an STCW Officer or Engineer Officer of the Watch Certificate, OR a degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Currently residing in Malta
  • Proven experience working with ISO standards; experience with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OH&SMS) will be considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and people management skills.
