Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the safe operation and navigation of barges and other vessels
• Managing crew members and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Conducting regular maintenance checks and ensuring the vessel is in good working order
• Planning and executing voyages in compliance with maritime regulations
• Coordinating with port authorities and other stakeholders
• Ensuring all documentation and certifications are up-to-date

Requirements:

• Boat Master certificate for vessels under 200 Tons that is recognised in Malta
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in barge operations or a similar field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of maritime safety and operational procedures
