IMO OPRC Level 2 – Tactical Level This course is designed for all personnel who may be called upon to manage and direct spill response operations. It is aimed at Incident Commanders, On-Scene Commanders, Supervisors and all those working in an incident command centre responding to an oil pollution incident.

Learning Objectives
Delegates will gain an understanding of all aspects of oil spill response management and coordination
including contingency planning, incident management, available response tools, the fate and behaviour of oil in the marine and shore environments, environmental impacts, observation & aerial surveillance, response techniques at-sea and on-shore, health & safety considerations, logistics & decontamination, waste management & disposal, response termination criteria and pos-incident operations and administration issues.
The course is based on the new IMO OPRC Model Course - Level 2 - Tactical Level .
