Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, other than Fast Rescue Boats (PSCRB) REFRESHER STCW A-VI/2-1

This course is the refresher training for crew to be able to launch and take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat in emergency situations, in accordance with section A-VI/2 of the STCW Code. Seafarers requiring deck certificates of competency must complete this STCW course as part of their Officer training and need to do a REFRESHER course every 5 years.

Course Aim:

The purpose of this course is to provide students with REFRESHER training on competence to operate life-saving appliances and taking charge of a survival craft/rescue boat during or after launch.

This course provides seafarers aiming to refresh their STCW certification with the necessary education and training as outlined in Table A-VI/2-1
